Annual Renewal & Newsletter

Applications for renewal of registration for the 2008/2009 registration year, together with the Board's annual newsletter were posted to the profession on 25 July 2008.

Psychologists should note that the renewal form and annual practice fee must both be submitted before 31 August 2008. In addition to avoiding reminder letters being sent, this will ensure that registrants receive their 2008/2009 Annual Practising Certificate before 1 October 2008.

If you misplace or do not receive your annual renewal form, a generic version is available online, and can be dowloaded by clicking on the following link: Download Generic Renewal Form

National Psychology Workforce Survey

The South Australian Psychological Board invites all registered psychologists to complete the following online workforce survey:

www.psychologist-workforce-profile.com

The Council of Psychology Registration Boards has commissioned the survey to gather information about the current state of the psychology workforce so that future planning is based on accurate data gathered by the profession itself. The Council recognised that there is a need to ensure that Governments, State and Federal, be provided with relevant, current, accurate and unbiased data on the availability, range and quality of psychological services, to make sound funding and policy decisions.

In order to best achieve this, it was agreed that a properly resourced study be conducted by the Boards in association with the Australian Psychological Society. All registration boards and the APS support the survey and are depending on a high response rate from psychologists. The gathering of this data will help to assure continued access by the public to quality psychology services. The funding has been provided by the New South Wales Psychologist Registration Board. All psychologists are encouraged to complete the confidential survey in the knowledge that they are contributing to developing a clear picture of the state of the psychology workforce and psychology service provision in Australia. Future planning and developments of benefit to the community and psychologists will depend on this,

If you cannot access the website please contact the Board on 8443 9669 extension 221 to request a hard copy version of the survey.

Your participation is appreciated.
