Code of Professional Conduct & Practice
The South Australian Psychological Board has published a Code of Professional Conduct and Practice, setting out standards of conduct which should be observed by registered psychologists in carrying out the practice of psychology.
This Code was reviewed in 2005 and the new version adopted on 10 May 2005. The new Code was circulated to the profession on 3 June 2005.
The Code was further amended in December 2007 to include information about Family Assessment Reports in Court Proceedings (new Section 3.8). It is hoped that the inclusion of this information will assist psychologists working in this area and reduce the number of complaints received by the Board that relate to these Reports.
