In October 2007 the Board's attention was drawn to a stage hypnosis performance to be given by Peter Powers on 27 October 2007. A number of psychologists requested that the Board take action against Mr Powers on the basis that the performance was a breach of the Act.
This matter was considered by the Board at its November meeting and it was resolved that no action be taken against Mr Powers, given the unsuccessful prosecution of Martin St James in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in 1986.
