The Board has been advised by the Department of Health that the draft Psychological Practice Bill has been tabled in Parliament and is available on the Parliament website. It is expected that the draft Bill will be debated in the next sitting of Parliament in November, and if passed it is expected to come into force mid 2007 after the Regulations are made.
If you wish to view the draft Bill on the Parliament website you should go to the following website http://www.parliament.sa.gov.au then go to "House of Assembly" and then to "Bills". A search box will appear on this page and if you type in "Psychological Practice Bill" and then click Search, you will get a link to the document.
The Board will continue to provide advice as to the progress of the Bill using this "What's New" section of the website, as it receives updates from the Department.
